Introducing VINView Pro: Power your platform with fitted options data

JATO has launched a new product to meet the growing demand for accurate, detailed used vehicle information- VINView Pro.

VINView Pro takes JATO’s existing VINView offering to the next level by supplying detailed build specification for individual vehicles – a significant progression from the standard specification information previously available. It cleverly discloses all fitted specification and options a vehicle benefits from, plus its full standard specification items and pricing.

The system has been developed in partnership with the automotive intelligence experts at AutoGrab. As JATO’s technology partner, AutoGrab delivered their advanced research and development capabilities and depth of knowledge in machine learning and AI systems to the project.

VINView Pro is designed to solve problems commonly faced by companies operating in the used car space, such as fleet and leasing firms, online marketplaces, and, of course; retailers. Businesses often find themselves trying to work with vehicle data that is at best, incomplete, or worse, inaccurate. This can lead to mispriced listings and lost sales, incorrect insurance and finance valuations and inconsistent residual values in remarketing.

VINView Pro removes these issues by providing exact factory-fitted options and original pricing information (when new), showing precisely what equipment and options were added to a particular vehicle when new, plus its complete and accurate build sheet, removing the need for guesswork. And because it’s capable of being API-integrated, businesses can access this data instantly via existing workflows.

It delivers transparency and accuracy for dealerships, insurance companies and service providers who require precise and comprehensive data to improve their operations. It also assists customers looking for vehicles with special features; and it mitigates risks for insurers and fleet managers. Insurers can make assessments based on the exact build configuration of a car, leading to more accurate risk management and underwriting.

Users can access the system in two ways – either through JATO’s existing Sales Link platform or an API. Entering VIN numbers or VRM triggers the supply of fitted options data, options pricing (when new), vehicle price (when new) and the standard vehicle equipment.
